The Bekins Co., among the nation's largest transportation and distribution services companies, said Monday it has formed a partnership with international transportation services company Gateways International.

The launch of Bekins International Group, a new business division, will extend the company's offerings to the critical international marketplace.
The partnership and formation of Bekins International Group will enable Bekins' affiliate agents to add international corporate and individual relocation, tradeshow exhibit, high-tech goods, warehousing and general commodities services to its line of domestic transportation logistics offerings.
In offering these services, Bekins will utilize Gateways International's more than 21 years of international transportation expertise. Gateways International will also supply Bekins with operational and sales support for the international marketplace.
Larry Marzullo, president and chief executive officer of The Bekins Co., said, "By teaming up with the one of the world's leaders in international transportation and distribution services, we are able to offer our customers the highest levels of service in both the foreign and domestic markets, while providing our network of agent affiliates with additional revenue streams and growth opportunities."
The Bekins Co. and its subsidiaries, Bekins Van Lines LLC and Bekins Worldwide Solutions, deliver transportation, storage and logistics services through a network of more than 350 independently owned moving and storage companies. Bekins Van Lines is the seventh largest provider of household goods relocation services to corporations, individuals and the U.S. government.
