Hundreds of antique trucks and thousands of trucking enthusiasts will gather in Yakima, Wash., for the American Truck Historical Society's 2013 National Convention and Antique Truck Show held May 30 through June 1, 2013.
Trucks of nearly every vintage and make will be represented at the show, including the high spoke-wheel trucks of the early 1900s to the big 18-wheeler rigs seen today on America's highways. To be considered an antique, a truck must be at least 25 years old.
In addition to the Antique Truck Show, the convention will include a wide variety of vendors and a speaker's program with topics on Alcoa Aluminum Truck Wheels, Logging Industry and Trucking, History of Sterling Trucks, and Yakima Valley Trucking History.
Tickets cost $11 per day for ages fifteen and older; admission is free for children fourteen and younger with a paying adult. Tickets can be purchased in advance on http://ticketswest.rdln.com.
The show is open to the public from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Show trucks can register from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. An auction will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 1.
