Great West Casualty Co., as part of the 2002 National Fleet Safety Awards Program, has presented Air Road Express Inc. a Platinum Award.
Air Road Express is headquartered in Indianapolis and has eight additional facilities throughout the Midwest and Texas.
Operating more than 150 trucks, Air Road Express specializes in truckload, LTL consolidations and dedicated regional applications between the Midwest and the four major gateways into Mexico. Service offerings include logistics, airfreight forwarding, surface expediting and warehousing.
The Fleet Safety Award Program drew more than 350 entries from across the country. Carriers were recognized for achieving a low preventable accident frequency per million miles of operation. The Fleet Safety Awards program recognizes fleets in similar operations (truckload and less than truckload) with awards based on their year-end preventable accident results. The carriers then received a Platinum, Gold, Silver or Participatory award.
