Fleet software and communications provider Xata is now a value-added reseller for SkyBitz, which provides remote-asset management solutions
Fleet software and communications provider Xata is now a value-added reseller for SkyBitz, which provides remote-asset management solutions.
According to a study by Cambridge Strategic Management Group, a consulting service, SkyBitz can reduce a fleet's trailer-to-tractor ratio by about 15 percent. When integrated with Xata's fleet management solutions, that can generate savings on fleet operations costs.
Based in the Washington, D.C. region, SkyBitz specializes in real-time decision-making tools for companies with unpowered assets, such as trailers. SkyBitz's tools calculate asset position in seconds, reducing power consumption and the cost and inconvenience of frequent battery replacement.
SkyBitz's asset tracking solutions are compatible with both Xata Turnpike and XataNet and are offered via one-way and two-way satellites, as well as terrestrial and wireless networks. SkyBitz offers 50 standard reports including stops/starts, position history, idle time and battery life. All reports are downloadable for easy import into spreadsheets. Custom reports are also available.
