LOUISVILLE, KY -- Western Star introduced updated interiors and a new 34-inch Stratosphere sleeper.

The company updated the interior for all of its truck models, including the recently introduced 4700 model. The enhanced interior features customizable compartments and shelving, and brighter color options.

Western Star's new interior includes:

* A new interior door design giving it roomier door panels for logbooks and maps;

* Maximized storage space with improved flexibility, with larger cabinets and moveable sleeper shelving. This design allows customers to tailor their trucks' interior cabinets to specifically meet their needs;

* Premium color choices such as smoky mountain grey, pacific forest green, maple leaf red and prairie buckskin brighten up the sleeper. Easy to clean vinyl roof panels have also been included in all interior option levels;

* An electronic interface prep package with factory-installed mounting and power connections enables customers to choose their own applications such as navigation systems and Bluetooth enabled cell phones.

The enhanced interior will be available in all Western Star trucks later this year.

34-Inch Sleeper

Available on the 4800 and 4900 Western Star truck models, the new 34-inch sleeper option allows Western Star customers to meet hours of service regulations without requiring a larger sleeper.

It combines a significant amount of additional headroom and greater storage space with the look and feel of a day cab, and also features Western Star's enhanced interior color and storage options described above. Ample room between the front seats enhances sleeper access and overall comfort. Plus, the specially contoured roof fairing improves cab-to-trailer gap while reducing the chance of contact with a refrigeration unit.

The 34-inch Stratosphere sleeper is now available to order for Western Star 4800 and 4900 truck models.
