TMW Systems announced it's formed a strategic alliance with Microdea for TMW to resell a new co-branded version of Microdea's document management software solutions called TMW-Synergize.


"After many years of close co-operation with TMW, this partnership is a natural next step to provide industry-oriented solutions," said Michael Ruskin, president of Microdea.

TMW will offer Microdea's enterprise document management and workflow solutions to complement its enterprise transportation software applications, with a special focus on business process improvement and automation. The new TMW-Synergize solution will be unique in the depth of integration and value to the TMW Systems software offering.

"We have gotten to know Microdeal well over the past two or three years," since TMW's acquisition of Maddocks and its TruckMate product, said TMW President and CEO Dave Wangler during a press briefing at TMW's annual TransForum user conference in Dallas Monday. "Being able to add a more sophisticated workflow and document management product to our stable made a lot of sense."

During the opening session of the conference, Wangler said the company was prompted to do this after their experience working with Canadian customer Banstra Transportation Systems. Bandstra touts their technology on their website, including their complete imaging system that offers signature capture and instant access toany documentation throughout its network.

"Many of our customers appreciate the ability for our office staff to view the bill of lading, proof of delivery, or any other documents and give them accurate information about that shipment," says the Bandstra website. "Our staff can manually e-mail the signed documents to any of our customers, or automatically send them at the time of invoicing."

TMW will also continue to develop, support and enhance both its existing imaging product as well as the integrations to other partner imaging solutions.
