Teletrac, a GPS fleet tracking and telematics provider, released the latest version of its core software platform, Fleet Director
Teletrac, a GPS fleet tracking and telematics provider, released the latest version of its core software platform, Fleet Director.
Fleet Director 9 combines business intelligence and in-cab color touchscreen tablets with two-way messaging, fleet tracking, navigation and safety analytics capabilities.
With Fleet Director 9, users get an in-cab display and messaging unit. All software capabilities including onboard navigation with turn-by-turn driving instructions and lane guidance, HOS with eLogs and two-way messaging. The large screen size also allows drivers to see incoming messages from dispatch regarding job details while in navigation mode. Fleet Director Tablet is offered in 5- and 7-inch versions.
The driver safety dashboard and event replay of unsafe driving events help monitor safety-related activity. Driving behavior can be seen in map views, and individual incidents can be "played back" just as they happened in real time. Drivers can be organized into driver subgroups and assigned to "watch lists." The driver's name is assigned to the vehicle, enabling all status updates and messages to be automatically accompanied by the driver's name.
The new version also offers custom reporting. Select data via "drag and drop" tools for analysis and report generation from a list of metrics, generating custom reports in a few minutes. Or, generate multiple chart types against specific data and include multiple accounts linked together, viewing an entire organization on one dashboard or report.
