A recent partnership between Multi Service and Paccar Parts led to the development of a new national account billing and payment program that has improved price and invoice accuracy by nearly 50 percent and has improved dealer reimbursement time by as much as 80 days.
Overland Park, Kansas-based Multi Service, a billing and payments expert in the trucking industry, worked with Paccar Parts in developing Paccar Parts Fleet Services, a billing and payment program that enforces national account pricing models throughout its dealer network. The new system standardizes dealer invoices submitted to national accounts and provides a streamlined method with which dealers can electronically submit finalized, line-item transaction data to the Paccar Parts national account program processing center.
In developing the program, Multi Service added Service Gate, a two-way interface between dealer business systems and the Paccar Parts Fleet Services program. Service Gate offers real-time communication of authorization and price verification at the point of sale by communicating with dealer business systems. This integration makes for more efficient back office administration and cash flow management.
Additionally, when a transaction is rejected, new functionality within the Karmak Info 5 business system allows the dealer to electronically resubmit previously rejected invoices, saving time and money associated with manual reprocessing. The Info 5 business system electronically settles finalized invoice data to Multi Service for processing and payment and automates remittance posting of Paccar Parts national account transactions for dealers.
