The GT Radial GSL213 steer tire and GT669+ drive tire from GITI Tire USA have received SmartWay verification from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

These are the first GT Radial tires to receive SmartWay verification.

The all-new GT Radial GSL213 long haul steer tire features advanced technology and pattern design for outstanding overall performance, resistance to irregular wear and extended mileage, the company says. The extra wide and deep tread design provides outstanding tread life, while decoupling grooves and braking force ribs reduce the initiation and spread of irregular wear.

The GSL213 is available in the following sizes: 11R22.5 (14 and 16 ply), 11R24.5, 295/75R22.5 and 285/75R24.5 (all 14 ply) sizes.

The GT Radial GT669+ drive tire features an advanced compound for long tread life and a deep aggressive pattern for consistent traction and optimum braking, claims GITI. The drive tire also has a wide tread footprint for stability and longer life, as well as a robust casing for outstanding retreadability.

The GT669+ is available in the following sizes: 11R22.5 (14 and 16 ply), 11R24.5 (14 and 16 ply), and 295/75R22.5 (14 ply) sizes.
