Freight transportation software developer SMC3 and transportation management system provider FreightCenter.com announced a new technology partnership to produce a more advanced and all-inclusive TMS solution.
The alliance integrates the SMC3 RateWare XL rating solution complete with CarrierConnect carrier data into the recently-introduced FreightCenter.com TMS product. The FreightCenter.com TMS also provides access to PC*Miler through Rateware XL, which allows companies to access accurate mileage.
This new partnership follows a recent announcement of an interface created between RateWare XL and ALK Technologies' PC*Miler Web Services. RateWare XL combines carrier-specific rates with CarrierConnect points of service and transit times to provide a complete view of LTL rating and pricing across an enterprise. The service-oriented architecture for RateWare XL is web based and runs through a single API and point of access, meaning there is no software to install upon implementation. Data is continuously updated, ensuring accurate carrier data and rates which can be used for efficient route planning optimization.
The FreightCenter.com TMS offers complete back-end technology that includes custom rates, automated quoting, booking, scheduling and tracking, a built-in CRM system, flexible and secure controls for users and customers and extensive reporting. Front-end customer websites offer companies online transportation solutions for their customers while using maintaining visibility of their own branding and identity.
