Cleveland Tank & Supply announced new, direct replacement DOT-certified aluminum Freightliner FL series tanks that can be shipped from stock within 48 hours.

The company notes that the tanks offer significant weight savings and corrosion resistance over steel. The weight savings generate better fuel economy, and the improved corrosion resistance of an aluminum tank reduces maintenance. Many customers are using the aluminum tanks as replacements to the original steel tanks provided by major original equipment manufacturers, according to the company.

The new Freightliner tanks are DOT-certified and are stocked at the Cleveland location in 45- and 75-gallon models. Cleveland Tank's new FL series diesel fuel tanks are designed to replace the original tanks where the steps were bolted into the tank on the popular FL60, FL70, FL80 and FL106 series trucks. Available for immediate shipment, Cleveland Tank's models eliminate the through-bolt into the tank interior of the original models.

These DOT-certified rectangular aluminum fuel tanks will work with a majority of the more popular Freightliner Class 6 and 7 midsized trucks. Transit time is one to two days in a majority of the United States and Canada.
