UniGroup Logistics is now offering full-service, white glove final mile residential service of over-dimensional items for delivery, warehousing, fulfillment and reverse logistics.
The service will be powered by household goods moving organizations United Van Lines and Mayflower and will make use of UniGroup’s 50-state network. The company has a long history of home delivery experience with more than 500 agents, and in the last six years UniGroup has made more than one million in-home deliveries.
“There continues to be growing need for retailers to adopt an omni-channel approach to better ensure a seamless and integrated customer experience,” said Scott Kluesner executive vice president operations. “E-commerce technology advancements have put an additional strain on the supply chain, which leaves UniGroup Logistics Final Mile service in a position to be a differentiator in the industry because of our localized delivery, extensive network, real-time tracking and reverse logistics capabilities.”
UniGroup Final Mile service includes a background checked, two-person delivery team and quality control through customer satisfaction surveys. Regardless of origin, UniGroup Final Mile covers e-commerce websites, import location, distribution center and manufacturing facilities.
