Drivewyze, from Drivewyz Inc., is a new web and GPS-based service that provides inspection bypass and toll payments in the U.S. and Canada via a smartphone.
FMCSA-compliant, Drivewyze software adds transponder functionality to iPhone, Android, and Blackberry smartphones or other in-cab technologies and connects to the Drivewyze network service via a single account regardless of where a driver travels.
Because the service network is available at permanent and mobile inspection sites, Drivewyze provides long haul and local truckers more inspection bypass opportunities.
The Drivewyze service, available to commercial drivers in summer 2012, includes clear visual and auditory notifications to support safe decision-making on the road.
The company has an agreement with Zonar to provide Drivewyze inspection station bypass and toll payment options to Zonar customers.
Drivewyz Inc. has also partnered with ZoomSafer Inc., maker of FleetSafe Mobile smartphone software. Drivewyze used in conjunction with FleetSafer Mobile enables safety features such as limiting call services and blocking text messaging without impacting the bypass or toll payment functions of Drivewyze.
The company is seeking qualified drivers for a beta test program of the service for inspection station bypass. Commercial Drivers interested in testing the Drivewyze service network can apply to participate in the Drivewyze beta program at drivewyze.com.
