Ryder System is partnering with the telephone language interpretation service Language Select to provide support for more than 200 different languages for the company’s pre-owned vehicle customers.
Customers calling Ryder will bring a Language Select interpreter on the line. The customer’s needs will be translated to the Ryder sales representative and the appropriate pre-owned vehicle information will be translated back to the customer.
The service is available during the operating hours of Ryder’s Used Truck Centers. Ryder’s pre-owned vehicle customer line can be reached at 1-800-USED-TRK.
“Language should not be a barrier to ensuring we provide the best pre-owned vehicle solution to our diverse base of customers across the globe,” said Eugene Tagney, vice president of asset management and vehicle sales at Ryder.
Ryder’s pre-owned vehicle inventory includes commercial and heavy duty vehicles including tractors, trailers, straight trucks, panel and cube vans, refrigerated trucks and stake trucks. The company sells more than 17,000 vehicles a year from its network of 59 used truck centers across North America.
