The new headquarters in Forth Worth's CentrePort business park, just south of the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport, will house the senior executive staff and a center to train about 40 drivers. The company already has a large terminal located in the Fort Worth area, and the new headquarters will be close to the airport and offer easy access to major interstate highways.
"The Dallas-Fort Worth area is one of the largest logistics hubs in the nation and LinkAmerica must have a presence in this market in order to enhance our position in the industry," said CEO John Simone in a statement. Simone was previously president and COO of Greatwide Logistics Services in Dallas; he joined LinkAmerica in August.
LinkAmerica operates primarily in the south-central and southeastern U.S. It was acquired last year by private equity investor Tenex Capital Management. Last month it announced a major upgrade of its fleet, replacing 575 pieces of equipment, 20% of its fleet, both tractors and trailers.
The company's Tulsa office will continue to house its logistics team and facilitate back-office support functions. LinkAmerica operates primarily in the southwest, south-central, and southeastern United States.
