Trucker Path Adds Live Info from DOT 511 to Navigation App

Trucker Path has added the DOT 511 Traffic Network to the live navigation features it provides professional drivers.
DOT 511 is a nationwide service that provides real-time information about travel conditions, road closures and restrictions, weather-related closures, crashes and construction.
“With the addition of DOT 511 feeds to the Trucker Path app, our live mapping is just as strong, if not stronger, than popular consumer apps that don’t provide truck-specific navigation,” said Chris Oliver, CMO at Trucker Path.
With DOT 511 feeds, truck drivers who use Trucker Path can see real-time footage of traffic congestion, plus live construction and crash information, giving them the option of selecting alternate routes.
What is Trucker Path?
The Trucker Path app is used by more than 1 million professional truck drivers. Offering navigation with truck-safe routing, the Trucker Path app also provides access to current information about truck stops, real-time parking availability, fuel prices and discounts, weigh station statuses, and truck scales and wash locations.
The company also offers TruckLoads, a digital freight exchange that connects drivers, carriers and brokers.
The new DOT 511 information feeds add to a number of existing safety and efficiency-focused features in the Trucker Path app, including:
