Q. How do you adjust ride height with PRIMAAX EX Height Control Valve?
When inspecting or setting ride height on a lightly loaded vehicle with a dual height control valve, it is necessary to have a load on the vehicle...
A. Historically, automatic tire inflation systems (ATIS) work to maintain proper tire pressures but cannot provide insight to potential issues like small leaks. For example, if you pick up a nail in your tire, the ATIS automatically fills the tire, and you may not necessarily notice that you have a problem. While the ATIS keeps you rolling in the short term, it only prolongs inevitability of service being required. But if you knew there was a leak—one that you could shuffle around PM schedules and get the truck in sooner, before an incident occurred—wouldn’t you want to know that information?
Those are precisely the types of questions that Hendrickson’s WATCHMAN wheel-end sensor technology aims to answer. WATCHMAN wheel-end sensor monitors trailer tire pressures and wheel-end temperature and communicates status to the fleet through the tractor telematics system pulling the trailer.
The WATCHMAN system integrates into Hendrickson’s TIREMAAX PRO tire inflation system. The sensing technology helps identify conditions that have the potential to cause downtime by delivering actionable data in real time to allow fleets to schedule maintenance proactively. The combination of WATCHMAN and TIREMAAX allows fleet to monitor AND maintain critical equipment to ensure that potential tire and wheel-end problems may be addressed quickly and efficiently. WATCHMAN brings added value by providing visibility to potential problems so they can be addressed both early and safely to optimize productivity, safe operation, and uptime.
