What medium-duty work trucks best address the needs of today's fleet managers? HDT sister brand Work Truck addresses that question with its annual Medium-Duty Truck of the Year award, and it recently announced five finalists for the 2023 award.
Work Truck started the Medium-Duty Truck of the Year award in 2008 to recognize the top trucks in the vocational medium-duty market. In 2021, the Top 5 Medium-Duty Trucks.was launched. Vehicles are nominated by the manufacturers and the winner is determined through voting by professional fleet managers.
The votes are based on what best fits the voter's fleet requirements, including application effectiveness, durability, quality, servicing, maintenance, and lifecycle costs.
The Top 5 Medium-Duty Trucks for 2023 (in alphabetical order) are:
Chevrolet Silverado 4500 HD/5500 HD/6500 HD
Ford F-600 Super Duty Chassis Cab
International MV Series
Isuzu FVR DeRate

The Medium-Duty Truck of the Year will be announced at Work Truck Week 2023, to be held in Indianapolis March 7-10.
