Velociti will serve as the deployment and maintenance partner for Plus’s national program, which equips Class 8 trucks with lidar, radar, camera sensors, and Plus’s proprietary autonomous driving software to give the trucks autonomous driving capabilities.
The Plus Build program takes less than a day to turn new and existing Class 8 trucks into semi-autonomous trucks. With PlusDrive, and supervised by a truck driver, the trucks can autonomously handle lane centering, driver initiated lane change, predictive fuel optimization, adaptive cruise control, lane merging, driver attentiveness detection, over-the-air updates, and more.
Installation is performed at locations in or near major transportation hubs across the U.S., and maintenance services are available nationwide by utilizing mobile resources. In addition to Velociti’s technology installation services, Plus is implementing Velociti’s VeloCare solution, a flagship proactive system-health monitoring program including remote and mobile services to maximize technology uptime.
