There are many types of diesel fuel additives out there, several of which contain multiple components, and it’s important to look at each component to determine whether it’s actually useful. For instance, it’s not worth buying a cold weather additive in the middle of the summer. A fuel detergent on the other hand cleans and protects fuel system components all year, resulting in optimal engine performance.
