The first step in building a safer fleet is hiring the right drivers. But finding enough qualified drivers and complying with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations can be overwhelming. To simplify the process, J.J. Keller & Associates introduced its new Driver Applicant Management Service as an enhancement to its Driver Qualification File Management Service.
“In the past, carriers have had to juggle multiple tools and documents to manage driver hiring,” said Shaun Gunderson, vice president of managed services at J.J. Keller, in a news release. “They often told us how they’d love to have everything integrated into an easy-to-use resource for complete visibility and control of the process. Now they have it with the web-based Driver Applicant Management Service. It simplifies each step, reduces application errors, centralizes documentation, and automates key tasks, such as ordering background checks.”
J.J. Keller’s Driver Applicant Management Service features an Applicant Center where carriers can create configurable, branded job postings designed specifically for DOT-regulated drivers. A Hiring Dashboard provides an at-a-glance view of new applicants and their submitted documents, along with management tools for ordering background checks, recording notes about applicants, and advancing new hires to the qualification phase.
