Among other new features, the latest update to Noregon's JPRO Professional diagnostic tool update includes enhancements to the application’s Aftertreatment Diagnostics features.

Noregon released its third major update of 2020 for JPro Professional, the company’s all-makes and models in-shop diagnostic and troubleshooting tool. According to the company, this latest update includes an extensive list of new features, coverage, and bi-directional tests for major manufacturers including Bendix, Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit, Ford, Mack, Volvo, and other suppliers. A comprehensive list of additions is available on the company’s website.

“Because truck technology is rapidly evolving, technicians require up-to-date applications to diagnose and repair trucks with the speed and accuracy that fleets rely on to maximize uptime,” said Jason Hedman, product manager, Noregon. “Our customers recognize the benefit of remaining resident in a single application from triage all the way to completed repairs, so we worked ... to provide an update that ensures technicians have the tests and features to accomplish that.”

Advanced driver assistance systems continue to be an area of focus for Noregon with each JPro release. “Vehicle and component manufacturers are doing an exceptional job equipping trucks with the systems that keep drivers and others on the road safe,” said Hedman. “It is critical these systems work properly, so we proudly meet the challenge of implementing the tools and educational tips that help technicians diagnose and repair new technologies they may not yet be familiar with.”

The update also includes enhancements to the application’s Aftertreatment Diagnostics feature, Hedman added.
