After surging for the last five months, spot truckload rates have gone flat according to DAT, with demand for trucks softening during the week ending October 18.
FTR said its Trucking Conditions Index in December was the highest since January 2019 and the first positive reading since 0.28 in July.
FTR has reported that its Trucking Conditions Index for September fell to the lowest level in a year, indicating there has been "some stabilization in freight rates and demand.”
