Texa USA's launched the Axone Voice, a hand-free diagnostic device for heavy-duty technicians that features voice control and facial recognition.
Axone Voice is Texa's first unit with voice control, a function developed in collaboration with Microsoft and designed to support technicians throughout the different phases of work.
It is also the first tool that uses face recognition to identify who is using it, unlocking a series of exclusive functions to access the protected diagnostic procedures provided by the manufacturer.
Axone Voice can tell technicians what to do in many situation, even in the one in which specific safety requirements are needed, both for the vehicle and for technician.Techs do not have to touch the tool, simply say “Hey Texa” followed by the command.
The unit also guides users through the diagnostic activities. After the selection or after the vehicle scan, Axone Voice directly suggests the services available.
When connecting to the vehicle manufacturer’s website, for example to update an electronic control unit in the vehicle, the diagnostic tool must remain connected to the Internet and to the mains even for several hours using up a considerable amount of energy. With Axone Voice this will no longer be a problem and the Internet connection will remain stable and 100% compatible with the specifications by all manufacturers, Texa officials said on its webiste.
Axone Voice also features a:
13.3-inch multi-touch screen protected with Gorilla Glass. The screen has a maximum resolution of 2560 by 1600 pixels
Windows 10 Enterprise operating system powered by an Intel Core i5 processor with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage
advanced dual-channel Wi-Fi system
Bluetooth 5.1 module
two 8 MP cameras for the facial regonition feature, and to obtain detailed customer reports or send technical photos to the assistance service
magnetic docking with four 3.0 USB sockets
