Volvo and Mack Honor Veterans with Ride for Freedom Trucks

Volvo Trucks and Mack Trucks are participating in the annual Ride for Freedom rally in Washington, D.C., over Memorial Day weekend, with each manufacturer’s 2016 Ride for Freedom truck.

Volvo Trucks and Mack Trucks are participating in the annual Ride for Freedom rally in Washington, D.C., over Memorial Day weekend, with each manufacturer’s 2016 Ride for Freedom truck.

The Ride for Freedom rally salutes prisoners of war and missing in action military personnel from all wars, as well as the men and women who have served and continue to serve in the military.

Mack’s Ride for Freedom truck is a customized Mack Pinnacle Axle Forward Rawhide Edition featuring custom graphics to honor each branch of the U.S. Armed Forces along with the quote, “America, Home of the Free because of the Brave.”

Volvo’s truck is a VNL 670 model, featuring custom-designed, America-themed graphics. The truck will travel to Washington, D.C. with a motorcycle motorcade.

Mack’s Lehigh Valley Operations and Mack Customer Center employees will travel from Pennsylvania by truck and motorcycle to Hagerstown, Maryland for a special ceremony at Mack’s powertrain facility.

Hagerstown employees will then join their colleagues following the ceremony as they continue to Washington, D.C., to join thousands of other Ride for Freedom participants.
