The Department of Transportation has selected Teletrac to provide fleet tracking and Hours of Service software to FMCSA for its United States - Mexico cross-border, long-haul trucking pilot program.


As indicated in the FMCSA Federal Register Notice, all Mexican carrier trucks designated for inclusion in the program will be equipped with a GPS and HOS services electronic monitoring device. The company's Fleet Director GPS system is fully compliant with current FMCSA regulations for vehicle and driver monitoring.

Through the use of its geo-fencing technology that provides vehicle location data relative to specified geographic landmarks, Teletrac will track trucks participating in the pilot along designated routes and within pre-defined boundaries, to monitor driver adherence to program parameters and safety standards. Further, this technology enables automated status updates to back office systems, providing validated, time-stamped records of vehicle activity.
