When companies who ship industrial heavy loads (flatbed cargo) were recently asked to identify the carriers that provide the best service, Roehl Transport was among the companies named most often.
The vote, which canvassed more than 2,000 shippers from across the nation, was part of Logistic Management magazine’s annual Quest for Quality program.
“There is no doubt this kind of feedback makes for the best award a company can receive,” Roehl Executive Vice President Bob Rader said. “It’s customers saying that of all the many trucking companies out there, Roehl is among the elite few when it comes to meeting their needs best. That by doing our job exceptionally well, we’ve made their jobs easier.”
The award recognizes not only service components like on-time, claim-free shipping, but also factors like flexibility, the willingness to accommodate special requests and the fact that Roehl people are responsive, professional and pleasant.
The credit for Roehl’s customer service belongs with its drivers, according to Rader. “Roehl is a sophisticated, highly-coordinated organization. We have extremely skilled and dedicated people who provide our drivers top training, reliable equipment and logistical support. But in the end, it’s the men and women in our trucks who make it happen. They’re the ones at our customers’ docks, representing the rest of us face-to-face,” he explained.
Roehl is one of the 100 largest trucking companies in the U.S., offering van, curtainside, flatbed and dedicated fleet services.
