The award will be presented at this year’s Fleet Safety Conference, taking place from July 25-26 at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel in Schaumburg, Ill. Nominations are open until May 8; the application form can be accessed here.
The Fleet Safety Conference is put on by the publishers of Heavy Duty Trucking, Automotive Fleet, and Work Truck magazines. It is a three-day event designed for fleet, risk, safety, sales, HR and EHS professionals, offering insights and practical education on improving fleet safety. Some of the highlights include a keynote address on the role of driver assistance technology in reaching the zero crash goal by Deborah Hersman, president and CEO of the National Safety Council; and sessions on using ELD data, the new drug and alcohol clearinghouse regulations; and protecting against terrorist use of vehicles.
A separate award for light- and medium- duty fleets, the 2017 Fleet Safety Award, will also be presented at the conference.
