Users can ask questions in their own words, such as:

  • “Which drivers had the most idling time last week?”

  • “Show safety events in weekly buckets over the last 12 weeks”

  • “What was my total fuel spend last billing cycle?”

  • “What was our average vehicle downtime last month?”

And Motive’s AI Answers will respond with easy-to-understand answers and visualizations.

The Challenge of Turning Data Into Actionable Insights

Trucking operations are generating more data than ever, from safety scores and spending data to fuel consumption and driver performance. Turning that data into actionable insight remains a major challenge.

Many teams rely on disconnected, static tools that make it slow and difficult to get a complete, real-time view of operational performance.

“AI Answers delivers real-time insights instantly so teams don’t have to dig through cumbersome custom reports,” said Hemant Banavar, Chief Product Officer at Motive, in a news release.

“Now data is no longer a bottleneck, it drives smarter decisions and business growth.”

By using AI Answers directly within Motive Analytics, trucking companies and other fleet operations can gain real-time insights without relying on BI or data analysts.

From fleet safety to fuel efficiency to maintenance spend, AI Answers helps safety, finance, and operations teams quickly see what’s happening and take action right away. according to Motive. The result is faster data-backed decisions that improve safety and productivity.

One Carrier's Experience With Motive's New AI Answers

Michael O’Neil, Project Manager at Reliable Carriers, had early access to the new tool and shared his experience with a group of customers and reporters during the convention.

"I look at numbers on an Excel spreadsheet and I can understand those. Not everybody can."

Traditionally, getting answers involved pulling Excel spreadsheets, trying to cross reference and analyze data across multiple spreadsheets, getting on different dashboards, trying to interpret that.

"I look at numbers on an Excel spreadsheet and I can understand those. Not everybody can.

"Using these kind of tools, really anybody can do this now," O'Neil said. "That's what all of our bosses want, right? They want to see things easily. This is it."

Instead of digging through complex reports, he said, they can just ask a question and get instant, clear answers. What once took hours can now be done in seconds — all in one system.
