The company says it's seeing increased customer demand in 2018. With much of the industry facing tighter capacity, many trucking companies have announced pay incentives aimed at recruiting new prospects and retaining experienced drivers.
Effective immediately, experienced company drivers at Milan will be paid 40 to 50 cents per mile. Milan company teams will make 49 to 52 cents per mile. Milan says based on 2,500 miles per week, company drivers could earn up to $73,320 a year. Milan teams could earn up to $148,720 per year averaging 5,000 miles per week.
Milan also increased pay for independent contractors, including both owner-operators and lease purchase drivers. Owner-operators will earn $1.10 per mile with fuel surcharge on loaded miles and lease purchase operators can earn $1.07 per mile with fuel surcharge on loaded miles.
