Meritor Wabco has appointed Matthew Stevenson president and general manager, effective immediately. Most recently with Bridgestone, he has nearly 20 years of experience in the commercial vehicle and automotive industries.

Meritor Wabco has appointed Matthew Stevenson president and general manager, effective immediately, the company announced.
Stevenson has nearly 20 years of sales, marketing, product strategy and business development experience in the commercial vehicle and automotive industries. Prior to his new role with Meritor Wabco, he served as vice president of Bridgestone’s commercial marketing group, managing all marketing operations for the company’s truck, bus, and off road tires business, as well as over 200 commercial stores under the GCR brand.
He also worked for Meritor from 2010-2013. He was the general manager of North American Field Operations, where he had sales, service and marketing responsibilities for Meritor Wabco products.
"Matt will lead a team of world-class professionals at Meritor Wabco," said Jon Morrison, president, Americas, Wabco. "We are excited to have him lead this important joint venture."
Stevenson holds a master of business administration degree from the University Of Michigan Ross School Of Business in Ann Arbor, Mich., and a bachelor of science degree in marketing from Kettering University in Flint, Mich.
Meritor Wabco is a 50-50 joint venture between Meritor and Wabco focused on the development of integrated safety technology and efficiency components.
