HDT takes the new Mack Anthem around Mack’s Pennsylvania test track to see how its driver-focused design, technology, visibility and handling perform from behind the wheel.

Mack Trucks says it designed the new Anthem around the driver. HDT put that claim to the test with a few laps around the Mack test track in Macungie, Pennsylvania.
From the driver’s seat, the redesigned Mack Anthem combines a technology-loaded cab with the kind of details that can make a difference during a long day behind the wheel.
Controls and gauges are easy to see and reach, steering-wheel buttons are large enough to operate while wearing gloves, and the truck offers excellent sightlines. The rear-view camera system adds a panning feature and wide-angle views to help drivers keep an eye on surrounding traffic.
On the track, HDT also tried out the Anthem’s hill-hold capability on a steep grade and came away impressed with the truck’s quiet cab, precise steering and smooth transmission performance.
