Meritor has launched its Meritor Aftermarket Wheel End Extended Warranty program. It offers increased warranty coverage when complementary Meritor wheel end products are bought and installed together.
There are two extended coverage options available. The first package offers coverage for three years or 300,000 miles when the customer purchases and installs Meritor hub caps, Premium wheel seals, and Temper-Loc spindle nuts. The second package is a 5-year, unlimited-mile warranty available when purchasing and installing the same three wheel end products required for the first package, plus Meritor PlatinumShield II lined brake shoes.
The warranty program is supported by the registration website MeritorPartsWarranty.com, allowing customers to register products purchased as part of an extended warranty package. The registration process requires identification of the vehicle the parts are installed on, part numbers and the date of installation.
Registration creates a confirmation code which can be used to confirm extended coverage if future warranty assistance is required. The site is also a portal to register the DoctorPreload tool for warranty coverage.
