Joseph M. Dagnese Named President of Con-way Truckload
Con-way Inc. has announced that Joseph M. Dagnese has been named president of Con-way Truckload, the company's full truckload subsidiary, succeeding Saul Gonzalez.


Con-way Inc. announced Monday afternooon that Joseph M. Dagnese has been named president of Con-way Truckload, the company's full truckload subsidiary, succeeding Saul Gonzalez.
Dagnese, a 31-year veteran of the transportation industry, joins Con-way Truckload from Menlo Worldwide Logistics, Con-way's global logistics and supply chain management unit, where he most recently served as vice president, international.
"Joe Dagnese is a respected transportation and logistics executive who has made significant contributions in leadership roles throughout his career," said Douglas W. Stotlar, Con-way's president and CEO.
Gonzalez, a 22-year veteran of the company, will remain with Con-way Truckload in an executive staff role. "I want to thank Saul for his stewardship of Con-way Truckload during this transitional time in the company's history," said Stotlar. "We are fortunate to continue to have Saul's experience and insight as a resource for the organization."
Dagnese has led Menlo's International operations since September 2013 and also was responsible for company-wide deployment of Menlo's Global Lean Strategy, according to a Con-way release. Prior to that, since September 2008 he directed Menlo's Automotive & Government Services Group, which provides a full range of logistics and transportation management activities for Tier 1 and 2 OEM's and suppliers in the United States and internationally.
From 2005 to 2008, Dagnese served as vice president of Menlo's Consumer, Retail & Industrial Group.
Before joining Menlo, Dagnese spent 14 years with The Procter & Gamble Company in a variety of transportation, logistics and customer service positions, including manager, North American transportation operations.
