The FourKites real-time load tracking platform is now available with Oracle Transportation Management Cloud and Oracle Transportation Management version 6.3.0 and higher.
FourKites tracks truck locations every 15 minutes, recalculates ETA using location, traffic and weather data, and automates arrivals and departures using geofencing technology. With the integration, Oracle customers can send shipment data to FourKites and access tracking and exception management data generated by FourKites within OTM.
The FourKites tracking technology is integrated with more than 45 electronic logging device and trailer tracking providers. The company also has developed proprietary smartphone apps and app-less tracking technology using cell tower triangulation for trucks that have not yet installed an ELD.
"The real-time visibility and data exchange powered by this collaboration can take our mutual customers' productivity gains to another level," said Mathew Elenjickal, CEO of FourKites. "The combined solution can deliver operational efficiencies not just in logistics, but also in downstream functions such as sales, customer service, and warehouse and dock operations."
Oracle is a software developer that offers cloud-based and software-based transportation management solutions.
