Fortune Ranks 12 Trucking and Delivery Companies As Most Admired
Fortune magazine chose seven trucking, transportation and logistics companies and five delivery companies to be part of its World's Most Admired Companies list

Werner was one of the trucking companies that landed a spot on Fortune's Most Admired list.
C.H. Robinson Worldwide ranked at the top among trucking companies, while UPS was the Most Admired delivery company.
Behind C.H. Robinson, other trucking companies that ranked included Expeditors International of Washington, J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Ryder System, Landstar System, Con-way and Werner Enterprises. Some of the contenders who did not make the list were Hub Group, Arkansas Best, Alexander & Baldwin, Amerco, Pacer and YRC Worldwide.
Meanwhile, in the delivery category, FedEx, TNT, Deutsche Post and Poste Italiane followed UPS in their rankings.
The rankings were based on survey results that rated the companies in nine key areas: innovation, people management, use of corporate assets, social responsibility, quality of management, financial soundness, long-term investment, quality of product/services and global competitiveness.
The full list includes 346 organizations and will be published in the March 22 issue of Fortune. The survey process was conducted by Hay Group and started with around 1,400 companies chosen from the Fortune 1,000 listing, non-U.S. companies in Fortune's Global 500 database with revenue of $10 billion or more and the top foreign companies operating in the U.S.
"We are passionately committed to continuously developing our organization and are honored to be recognized, " said Greg Werner, president and CEO of Werner Enterprises.
