Truckload reefer fleet C.R. England, Salt Lake City, has commissioned a one-of-a-kind truck to help in the fight against diabetes.

The truck, white in contrast to C.R. England's all-red fleet, will earn money and arise awareness for the cure with the help of its driver Tony Walter. Walter, along with company chairman Bill England, have diabetes.
C.R. England will donate all net profits from the truck's services to the American Diabetes Assn. And with the truck's mission painted on the side, the 18-wheel "banner" will carry the message throughout the country.
"Diabetes affects more than 16 million Americans," said Bill England, who was diagnosed with the disease in 1945. "My own family is particularly involved. We've lost one nephew to diabetes, and my granddaughter and another nephew are fighting it, as well. This truck is a symbol of hope for my family and for the millions touched by the disease."
Walter, who was chosen from among 25 England drivers with diabetes, plans to talk up the truck's purpose at each stop.
A Freightliner Century Class 2000, the truck has extra conveniences, such as a refrigerator, television, driver's lounge and 70-inch raised roof sleeper.
