CFI, an international truckload carrier based in Joplin, Mo., has announced the monthly driver award recipients for May 2004.
-- Company Driver of the Month: Ronald Koester started his driving career with CFI in 2000. He resides in Chanute, Kan.
-- Company Team of the Month: Ryan and Linda Goff live in Springfield, Mo.
-- Contractor Driver of the Month: Philip Sefaine resides in Houston, Texas. He began his career with CFI in 2003.
-- Contractor Team of the Month: Jose and Carlos Baca reside in Eagle Pass, Texas.
Winners are automatically nominated for the 2004 year-end award in their respective category. All full-time over the road drivers who have been certified as a driver at CFI for one year are eligible for the CFI driver awards.
CFI, founded in 1951, operates 2,500 tractors and more than 6,500 trailers and transports a variety of goods throughout the contiguous United States and Canada.
CFI interlines with Mexican carriers at various border crossings to provide through-trailer service to Mexico. In addition to its Joplin headquarters, CFI operates five terminals. CFI and its subsidiaries have 37 sales offices throughout North America and employ more than 2,700 people. The driver fleet is comprised of both company drivers and independent contractors.
