The CEI Group, Inc., says it can save vocational truck fleets millions of dollars a year by preventing and managing accidents.  That’s the message the fleet driver management company is bringing to the American Transport Association’s Management Conference & Exhibition in Philadelphia, being held in the city’s Convention Center Oct. 17-20.

“Fleets are under constant pressure to cut expenses and save money, and it’s often a surprise to them how much they can save with new approaches to fleet accidents,” said Luann Dunkerley, CEI regional sales manager.

Dunkerley, who is also a member of the board of governors of the National Private Truck Council and on its safety committee, will be joined in Booth # 543 at the trade show by Chris Villella, CEI’s director of account management for special markets, and Paul Duffin, the company’s truck fleet relationship specialist.

Dunkerley noted that CEI saved its fleet customers hundreds of millions of dollars in 2014 in five ways:

  • Preventing more than 1,000 accidents through its online DriverCare fleet safety and risk management services;

  • Reviewing every repair estimate for an average savings of more than 12% on parts and labor;

  • Minimizing vehicle repair downtime and rental replacement vehicle expenses;

  • Recovering losses from at-fault third party drivers in one out of every four accidents; and

  • Nationwide vehicle remarketing and salvage services.

“Trucking has never been more important to our economy than it is now and will be in the future, and reducing the number and net cost of fleet accidents is an urgent need, both for the industry and the public at large,” said Dunkerley.  “Fleets need to know that solutions are out there.”

CEI provides fleet driver management aimed at reducing accident related costs. Its provider network consists of 4,000 collision repair shops throughout the U.S. and Canada and includes nearly 1,000 truck collision repair centers.
