scheduled Aug. 18-21 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Only winners of state truck driving championships qualify for the American Trucking Assns.' national championships. To participate in state competitions, drivers must be accident-free for one year before their state contest. "The skill and commitment to safety these professional drivers have demonstrated prove the dedication of Yellow to high quality and exceptional service."
This year, 294 Yellow drivers competed at the state level, 100 more than last year. The state contests began in April in Arizona and ended in July with contests in New Jersey and New York.
