PrePass Rolls Out New Suite of Products
PrePass has rolled out a new suite of products that target fleet efficiency and an improvement in air quality and highway safety

The new Ground Traffic Control product, powered by Zonar
PrePass is a system that allows qualified carriers to comply electronically with state-established weight, safety and credential requirements and bypass these facilities at highway speed using an in-cab transponder. It can be found in more than 280 locations in 29 states.
"PrePass is one of the top driver benefits according to truck driver surveys," said Richard Landis, president and CEO of the public-private partnership that offers the weigh station bypass service. "We anticipate our new suite of services will be equally as important to industry cost-savings and efficiency, while also delivering solid safety and air quality benefits to government and the motoring public."
The new Ground Traffic Control product is a web-based data management application that provides a real-time picture of a fleet's operations. Powered by Zonar, GTC allows for electronic inspection, tracking, and management of a fleet operations.
PrePass has also developed eLogs, a log scanning and auditing service. The system receives logs, scans them and then captures the necessary log data to perform a standard audit. The solution can also perform a daily fuel data audit. Using eLogs, fleets can create filtered reports, which can be scheduled to run automatically and e-mailed on a daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis. In addition, it stores and destroys paper logs 90 days after receipt.
The third new offering is PrePass Gates, a fully-integrated gate control access and management system. This system allows drivers to enter and exit terminals using the same transponder they use to bypass PrePass weigh stations.
"Taken together, the PrePass service suite addresses motor carrier safety and efficiency at 12 critical points in a trucker's day including before the trip; on-the-road; and after the trip," said Landis.
