There will be smaller fleet vehicles as well as heavy duty trucks that will show off some of the latest efficient technologies.

Taking place on Oct. 29, from 9 to 11:30 a.m., the event is open to everybody at the Green Fleet Conference including those with the free exhibit hall pass. Participants will get the unique opportunity to drive some of the latest alternative fuel vehicles back-to-back on an open course.

There will be a street-fair atmosphere with available food and drinks, music, contests and kart races. Last year there were popcorn and snow cones available to attendees and a contest where people were given prizes for driving in as many of the vehicles as possible.

Some of the vehicles being highlighted this year include Navistar's Pro-Star; ROUSH CleanTech's 2011 Ford E-350; WM GreenTech's Electric 2014 GTA G-2; Zenith's Electric Shuttle Van; Crosspoint Kinetics' Spirit of Mobility Bus; and Honda's 2014 Civic Natural Gas.

In addition to these vehicles, there are many businesses participating and a full list can be found on the Green Fleet Conference Website. Representatives will be available to answer questions and give information about their vehicles.

To drive the vehicles, participants in the Ride and Drive event must provide a valid driver’s license and sign a waiver.

For more information on the Ride & Drive event and all other activites at the conference, go to the Green Fleet Conference website.
