Old Dominion Freight Line Inc., has introduced a new web site enhancement called the Cube Calculator.

Available at www.odfl.com, customers may now access the new density calculator by clicking on Cube Calculator. A window opens up providing the formula for calculating cubic feet. The customer will be able to use the cube calculator to compute the density for their shipments. If multiple pieces exist in one shipment, the cube calculator will total the cubic feet for all of the pieces combined. Density calculations are only required for shipments involving sea or air transportation.
Ken Erdner, vice president of information technology, said, "Old Dominion is determined to remain consistent in its efforts to introduce technological advancements, tools and systems that will continue to supply our customers with the quality service they have come to expect and rely on."
Old Dominion is a less-than-truckload (LTL) super regional carrier providing one- to five-day service among five regions in the United States and next-day and second-day service within these regions.
