G.I. Trucking Co., Brea, Calif., is now serving Las Vegas area customers and those shipping to Las Vegas from its new terminal and service center.
In recent months, the company has experienced significant growth in business levels in Nevada and other western states. To meet that demand, it has moved its Las Vegas terminal/service center operation from a 20-door facility to one with 34 doors.
In addition to handling G.I. Trucking shipments, the facility is a gateway operation for the ExpressLINK North American service network that serves national and international markets.
According to Fran Glidewell, vice president for sales and marketing, the new Las Vegas operation will initially handle about 600 shipments per day.
G.I. Trucking Company provides direct less-than-truckload (LTL) service to 13 western states from 58 terminals.
