Transportation and logistics provider Averitt Express, Cookeville, Tenn., has announced the introduction of a new Standard Definite transportation service for shippers of time-sensitive LTL freight.

Ideal for "just-in-time" shipments, the new service will allow customers to guarantee that their LTL shipments will arrive at their destination by Averitt's standard published service times. Under the terms of the new service, if the guaranteed shipment does not arrive by the published service time, the shipper's invoice will be voided.
Averitt's Standard Definite shipments will be picked up like regular LTL shipments and will be constantly monitored throughout the Averitt LTL system to ensure on-time delivery.
