Morgan Truck Body has opened a new 175,000-square-foot manufacturing facility, the company’s 13th facility in North America.

The truck body plant is located in Plainfield, Connecticut. It is capable of supporting production of more tan 3,000 dry freight and refrigerated truck bodies annually and is expected to employ around 140 people.

Morgan also indicated plans for a 14th truck body facility in the Midwest in the near future.

“Morgan continues to set revenue records, so the need to increase capacity, as well as locate production closer to our customers, is an important part of improving customer service,” said Norb Markert, Morgan’s president and chief operating officer.
