At the American Trucking Associations Management Conference & Exhibition October 27, Todd McGuire, Transtex senior vice president of sales, explained that in listening to its customers, "In recent years, one challenge that has been consistently raised is cab extenders that failed to withstand real-world conditions.

"Fleet managers spoke of costly damage from jackknifing. Drivers shared frustration with limited turning angles, and maintenance teams reported hinge failures and frequent repairs."

The company is in the process of rolling it out and expanding the number of truck models it's available for.

This is a retrofit or for new-truck buyers it would be done in a modification center.
