BYD Motors and Cox Automotive have inked a deal for Cox to provide service for BYD's Class 6 and Class 8 electric trucks in the U.S.
BYD delivered the first 8Y terminal tractor to New York beer and beverage wholesaler Manhattan Beer Distributors, which has a fleet of about 355 trucks.
The trucks have begun operation in normal duty service, and the delivery is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
The collaboration plans to leverage Nuvve’s technology and Stonepeak’s and Evolve’s capital through Levo to offer fully financed, V2G-enabled BYD medium- and heavy-duty electric fleet vehicles.
