Kenworth has added Meritor Permalube RPL Series Drivelines as an option on selected, new Class 8 on-highway trucks. The drivelines feature permanent lubrication to help reduce wear.

The Permalube RPL features nylon thrust washers to eliminate metal contact points. Triple-lip seals on U-joints help keep contaminants out. The seal features an E-coated, protective steel guard that holds the slip seal securely and guards against debris and other contaminants.

“Meritor did an excellent job of engineering this Permalube RPL driveline series with no maintenance in mind, which is a huge benefit to our customers,” said Kurt Swihart, Kenworth marketing director. “What’s more they provide extended U-joint life, especially important when gearing is set for gear-fast/run-slow operations.”

Permalube RPL Series Drivelines are backed by a 5-year, 500,000-mile warranty for linehaul applications.
