Hankook Tire announced that five of its Aurora brand truck and bus Radial tires have been SmartWay verified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency SmartWay Technology Program.
The tires verified by the program include the Aurora UF03 (Long Haul Steer), UF04 (Regional Steer/All-Position), UF07 (Long Haul Trailer), UZ02 (Closed Shoulder Driver Position) and UZ03 (Open Shoulder Drive Position).
This verification recognizes the five patterns as low rolling resistance tires which provide fuel savings and/or emission reduction benefits for fleet customers. SmartWay verification for the tires was received in May of this year.
